Center For Family Services Behavioral Specialist Program Director, Kaleidoscope Advocate Riley D. Keenan B.S.

Keenan (he, him, his) has been working in the Human Services Field since 1994. He has worked with various populations, from homeless youth to mentally ill adults with co-occurring disorders.

Mr. Keenan is a steadfast advocate for the Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, and Transgender (LGB&T) community. He is dedicated to helping LGB&T youth, who are so often targeted and can be forced into becoming homeless.

Mr. Keenan’s mission is to provide an understanding of the daily struggles that youth and adults face as part of the community. In his presentation, Mr. Keenan discusses specific issues and risk factors that can contribute to high risk behaviors; such as substance use, depression and suicide in youth. He also discusses the importance of support from care givers, school systems, family and friends, in order to reduce and prevent homelessness.
