Camden, N.J. – Detectives are searching for the person who fatally shot a man inside his vehicle while at a gas station in Camden on Monday night, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Camden County Police Chief Joseph Wysocki.

Police were called to the gas station on the 1000 block of Kaighn Ave. shortly before midnight for a report of an injured man. Before officers could arrive, the victim was driven to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The victim was identified as Michael Milton, 45, of Woodlynne.

Witnesses reported hearing a loud noise sometime before 11:30 p.m. Detectives said Milton was discovered in his vehicle by passersby approximately 30 minutes later.
