Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson reported a Woodlynne man has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday, March 1, 2017.
Michael Kee, 24, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 28-year-old Carlos Rosa of Camden. He is scheduled to have a pretrial detention hearing at 9:00 a.m. on Friday March 10, 2017 before Superior Court Judge Edward J. McBride, Jr. in courtroom 36 at the Camden County Hall of Justice.
Kee is accused of fatally shooting Carlos Rosa in his car during an altercation in the area of 5th and Walnut. Responding officers found Carlos Rosa in his vehicle on 4th and Mount Vernon Streets in Camden.
Kee was taken into custody by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Regional Fugitive Task Force – Camden Division at approximately 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, March, 7, 2017 in the area of the 900 Block of Carl Miller Boulevard in Camden.
He was remanded to the Camden County Jail pending the pretrial detention hearing in accordance with the New Jersey Bail Reform. Under the recent Criminal Justice Reform rules, the court may order Kee be detained without bail or released with conditions.
All persons charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
