Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk reported a plea Thursday in connection with a 2013 killing in Oaklyn.
Shakeysha Pruitt, F/24, of West Berlin, pleaded guilty Thursday to Aggravated Manslaughter in connection with the death of Kafarr Logan-Horton, M/33. She admitted in her plea that on July 28, 2013, she went to Logan-Horton’s home on the 200 block of West Clinton Avenue in Oaklyn. They were intimate and she got in an argument with him. Pruitt admitted to going into the victim’s kitchen and retrieving a knife, which she hid in a towel. She returned to the bedroom and they argued again, she said. She admitted to stabbing him twice in the chest.
Pruitt was with the victim when he went to the hospital but left without identifying herself to authorities. Logan-Horton died about two hours after he arrived at the hospital.
Pruitt is scheduled to be sentenced July 25. She may be sentenced to a maximum of 20 years incarceration.
