Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson have released a composite sketch of a man believed to have been involved in a December murder in the city,

Timothy Appling, M/57, of Camden, was fatally stabbed during a robbery attempt at 2:48 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Broadway and Atlantic Avenue in Camden. Appling died from his injuries at 8:55 a.m. at Cooper Hospital.

Information from witnesses led to the composite sketch of the suspect attached here.

In addition, surveillance video captured the killing, and in the video several cars are clearly seen passing the scene as Appling is being assaulted. The prosecutor and police chief are asking the drivers of those vehicles to come forward and provide information about what they saw. Even the smallest piece of information could prove critical in identifying the suspect.

The video can be seen here: In the video, the suspect is the man in the lighter colored Carhartt jacket coming from the lower right side of the screen. Appling is wearing the darker clothes and approaches from the top of the screen.
