Today, Terrance Grant, 36, of Sicklerville in Gloucester Township, was charged with the drug-induced death of Shane Larocca, 29, from Clementon, on July 28, 2019.

At approximately 3:47 p.m. on July 28, 2019, Clementon Borough Police responded to reports of a man who was found deceased in his residence on Clementon Avenue. The Gloucester/Camden/Salem County Medical Examiner determined that Mr. Larocca’s cause of death was Heroin and Fentanyl Intoxication.

During an investigation conducted by the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit, Narcotics Unit and Clementon Borough Police Department, investigators were able to determine that Terrance Grant allegedly sold drugs to Shane Larocca the day of his death. The Gloucester Township and Berlin Township Police Departments also assisted the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Unit.

Terrance Grant was charged with one count of Strict Liability for a Drug-Induced Death according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Clementon Borough Police Chief Charles Grover. Grant is currently in being held in Camden County jail pending other matters.  He is awaiting a detention hearing on this charge which is expected to be held next week.
