Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk and Gloucester Township Police Chief Harry Earle reported a second suspect has been charged in connection with a shooting Monday that left one dead and another injured in a Gloucester Township apartment complex.
Joshua Texidor, M/20, of Westampton Township, was arrested Wednesday night and charged with Felony Murder and Robbery for his part in a shooting Monday. Superior Court Judge Lee Solomon ordered him held on $1 million bail Thursday. A 16-year-old from Edgewater Park was arrested Tuesday and charged with Murder, Felony Murder and Attempted Murder. He was ordered held at the Camden County Juvenile Detention Center in a hearing Wednesday morning.
The two men are accused of participating in an attempted robbery that led to the death of Lamar Ortiz, M/20, of the Autumn Ridge Apartments on the 1500 block of Little Gloucester Road in Gloucester Township. They drove to Autumn Ridge Apartments, Ortiz’s home, for what had been arranged as a drug deal. It appears they intended to rob Ortiz, but when the victim walked away from the deal, tyhe 16-year-old is accused of pulling a gun and shooting the victim several times.
All persons charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
