Update: All of the forensic nurse examiners positions have been filled. The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office thanks those who applied for their interest.
Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo reported the office is seeking registered nurses to be trained as forensic nurse examiners certified in sexual assault.
These nurses will respond to victims of sexual assault and play a key role in both collecting evidence necessary for convicting rapists and offering dignity and understanding to those who are the victims of sexual assault. The positions are per diem and require 40 hours per month of on-call time.
Interviews for the nurse positions are currently being conducted by the Forensic Nurse Examiner Unit of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office. All applicants must be registered nurses with at least two years of recent clinical experience and be available to complete the Basic Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) Course for certification through the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
Those who would like to be considered for the Basic SANE Course for certification and employment should send their resumes to SART/FNE Coordinator Francina Pendergrass by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by fax at (856) 580-6050.
