Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Winslow Police Chief Robert Stimelski reported police fatally shot a suspect while responding to a home in Winslow Friday morning.
Daniel St. Pierre, M/42, of Winslow, was transported to Cooper Hospital and died about 9:30 a.m. Friday.
The shooting took place as three Winslow officers responded to a trailer on the 400 block of New Freedom Road about 9 a.m. Friday.
The officers were not injured in the incident.
Whenever a municipal police officer’s use of a firearm while on duty results in death the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office oversees an investigation into the incident, as required by the state Attorney General’s Office guidelines.
