Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk reported a Westville man pleaded guilty Monday to a 2012 killing at a Jimmy Buffett concert in Camden.
Matthew Shields, M/22, pleaded guilty to Manslaughter Monday before Superior Court Judge Samuel Natal.
Shields admitted to punching 20-year-old Ryan Coyle, of Bellmawr, in the back of the head while the victim tailgated with friends in the parking lot of the Susquehanna Center on August 28, 2012. Cole hit his head on the pavement when he fell and died on August 31, 2012.
A sentencing is scheduled for May 16 before Judge Natal. The plea agreement calls for a term of four years incarceration, 85 percent of which must be served before he is eligible for parole.
