Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Sheriff Gilbert “Whip” Wilson reported a Pennsylvania man was injured on the Camden Waterfront in a stabbing following a concert Saturday night (6/4/16).
The 26-year-old victim was stabbed in the throat by allegedly George Kelly, a 25-year-old man from Ridley Park, Pennsylvania.
The victim is listed in stable condition and in recovery at Cooper University Hospital in Camden.
The suspect was taken into custody by the Camden County Sheriff’s Department.
The stabbing occurred approximately at 9:05 p.m. near Campbell’s Field.
It is alleged the suspect and the victim got into a physical altercation.
The suspect is charged with second-degree aggravated assault, third-degree aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, third-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.
He was remanded to the Camden County Jail.
The investigation into the stabbing is ongoing.
