Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Gloucester Township Police Chief Harry Earle are seeking information about an incident at a party in Gloucester Township that left a man beaten and a woman shot.
It happened at approximately 1 a.m. on Sunday inside a home on the 100 block of Indiana Drive in the township’s Blackwood section.
One victim, a 19-year-old Sewell man, was beaten by several assailants during an argument in the residence’s basement. He was taken to Kennedy University Hospital in Stratford, where he was treated and released.
The other victim, an 18-year-old Stratford woman, was shot in the foot during the altercation. She was taken in a private vehicle to Kennedy then transferred to Cooper University Hospital in Camden. She was reported to be in stable condition on Monday.
Police have arrested one suspect in the assault, but are still trying to identify the shooter as well as the other assailants.
Ibntroy Gaines, M/21, of Sicklerville, is charged with second-degree Aggravated Assault in connection with the attack on the male victim. He was remanded to the Camden County Jail with bail set at $35,000 cash or bond.
