Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson reported one man was killed and three others were wounded in an overnight city shooting.

Camden County Police were dispatched at approximately 12:05 a.m. on Sunday to the 2800 block of Mitchell Street in Camden for reports of gunshot victims.

Officers arrived and found Tito Gomez, 44, of Camden, lying in a parking lot with a gunshot wound. He was transported by ambulance to Cooper University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 1:11 a.m.

Two other victims, a 23-year-old Camden man and 22-year-old Pennsauken man, were located by police at an apartment on the 2800 block of Saunders Street. Both victims reported being shot on Mitchell Street and then running to a friend’s residence.

A fourth victim, a 22-year-old Camden man, had been driven by a friend to the hospital.

All three surviving victims were treated at Cooper and later released.

Detectives are still working to determine a motive. No arrests have been made at this time.
