CCPO Hosts Walk to Remember Homicide Victims
September 25th is National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims. This Saturday, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office is hosting the “Shine Their Light Walk” at the beautiful Haddon Lake Park in Haddon Heights to honor and remember lives lost to homicide.
“Losing a loved one in such a tragic way is unimaginable,” said Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer. “It’s our hope that we can ease some of that pain by bringing people together who’ve experienced this same kind of loss.”
Media are invited to take photos and videos of the walk. The loved ones of murder victims will be taking part. Survivors will walk with a flower. They’ll be joined by members of the CCPO and the community. Registration is at full capacity for the event. Check-in starts at 9:15 a.m., opening remarks begin at 10 a.m. and the walk gets underway at 10:15 a.m.
