Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Lindenwold Police Chief Thomas Brennan reported a man was wounded in a shooting early this morning in the borough.

Lindenwold Police responded around 1:12 a.m. on Saturday to the Woodland Village apartment complex on the 400 block of E. Gibbsboro Road in Lindenwold for 911 calls about a person shot.

Police learned the victim, a 34-year-old Lindenwold man, had been shot in the apartment complex’s parking lot. He was transported by ambulance to Cooper University Hospital in Camden. He was reported to be in critical condition.

A possible person of interest was seen running from the area. He was described as a black male wearing a black shirt with long white sleeves and a black hat with a white brim.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.
