Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Acting Runnemede Police Chief William Sampolski announce an investigation into a bank robbery, which was reported at approximately 1:10 p.m. today, July 13, 2021.

A white male entered the Acme Supermarket located at 501 East Evesham Rd. in Runnemede, went directly to the Citizens Bank located inside the supermarket, and passed a note to the teller.  In the note, the male demanded cash in specific denominations and threatened to shoot the teller, if she did not comply.

The white male is described as being approximately 6 feet tall, slim build, shaved head, blonde beard, wearing dark glasses and blue jeans.

The male left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the male, who was captured on surveillance video below.

Detectives continue to investigate this incident.
