Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson reported a homicide in the city last night.

Camden County Police responded at approximately 8:35 p.m. on Thursday evening (10/27/16) to the 700 block of Berkley Street in Camden in reference to a ShotSpotter Activation and 911 calls for a shooting victim.

Officers arrived and located the victim, Herbert Thomas, 18, of Camden, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased at approximately 9:40 p.m.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.
