Camden, N.J. – Homicide detectives are investigating after a man was fatally shot in Camden on Tuesday afternoon, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.
Police responded to the 1200 block of Lakeshore Drive for a report of a shooting shortly after 4 p.m. When they arrived, they found Lamar Maye, 46, of Camden, in a car suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Maye was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries around 4:23 p.m.
Detectives are working to determine what led to the shooting and who was involved.
