On Monday, June 10, 2019, Timothy Canfield, 31, of Berlin Borough, was sentenced to a term of 18 years in New Jersey State Prison by the Honorable David Ragonese, J.S.C. The 18-year sentence is subject to the No Early Release Act, which mandates that Canfield must serve 85% of his sentence before becoming eligible for parole. In addition to his prison sentence, he is also subject to 5 years of Parole supervision after his release from prison.
On April 24, 2019, a Camden County jury found Canfield guilty of Aggravated Manslaughter, three counts of Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
