Paul Lee, 39, of Cherry Hill, was charged today in connection with a robbery that occurred at approximately 3:45 p.m. in Collingswood on February 27, 2018.
Lee allegedly approached a 34-year-old woman, brandished a firearm and demanded her money while in the parking lot of a Bank of America located on 846 Haddon Avenue in Collingswood. Lee received an undisclosed amount of the woman’s money and then fled the parking lot on foot. There were no reported injuries.
After official requests to identify the perpetrator of the Collingswood robbery were circulated amongst law enforcement, the Cherry Hill Police Department reached out and informed detectives that a man matching the suspect’s description may have committed similar robberies in Cherry Hill on dates both before and after the February 27, 2018 Collingswood robbery.
Paul Lee was taken to Collingswood Police Department this morning where he was charged with first degree Robbery according to Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Collingswood Police Chief Kevin Carey. He was then transported and remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility.
All persons charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
