Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson report a suspect has been apprehended for a 2011 Camden homicide.
Namil “Omar” Owens, M/43, of Camden, is charged with Murder in the death of Errick Williams, M/34, of Mount Laurel.
Owens is accused of being one of the two individuals who fatally shot Williams in the area of Ferry Avenue and Miller Street in Camden around 7 p.m. November 12, 2011. Williams was shot multiple times and pronounced dead at 7:55 p.m. at Cooper University Hospital.
Owens was apprehended in Florida earlier this month and has been extradited to New Jersey. He is being held at the Camden County Jail. The second suspect is still being sought.
Owens will be arraigned at 9 a.m. Wednesday before Superior Court Judge Irvin Snyder in courtroom 45.
All persons charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
