Today, more than 3,000 police officers took to the streets to help carry the “Flame of Hope” a distance of almost 750 miles throughout the State to raise money for Special Olympics New Jersey.  Special Olympics New Jersey provides year -round sports training, competition, leadership opportunities, and health screenings to more than 26,000 athletes.  All of these programs and services are free because of fundraising events such as the Law Enforcement Torch Run.

The rainy weather did not deter members of the CCPO from doing their part and showing their support by participating in today’s run to promote such an important cause.
