Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk reported the indictment of two men for a July 2012 killing in Camden.

On July 24, 2013, a Grand Jury indicted Adam Sosa, M/31, of Camden, for Murder and Attempted Murder, and Jancarlos Marrero, M/22, of Camden, for Aggravated Manslaughter and Attempted Murder. The indictments were made public today. Both men are charged with causing the death of Franklin Morales, a 39-year-old Camden man.

Sosa and Marrero are accused of engaging in an argument over an ATV outside Morales’ home on the 900 block of Beideman Street in Camden about 8:45 p.m. Morales knew both Marrero and Sosa and tried to intervene and break up the dispute. As Morales attempted to resolve the dispute, Sosa and Marrero are each accused of drawing a gun and shooting at each other. Morales was caught between the two gunmen and was fatally struck.

All persons charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
