Camden County Prosecutor Warren E. Faulk reported the following Murder indictments were made public today.
A Grand Jury handed down the indictments on August 21 and they were returned Wednesday. Indicted on counts of Murder were:
- Brandon Jones, M/25, of Camden, for the July 11, 2012 shooting death of Jovan Aponte, M/19, of Camden, who was shot multiple times on the 800 block of Walnut Street in Camden. Jones was already indicted earlier this month on a count of Aggravated Manslaughter and weapons offenses for his role in a gunfight that led to the death of Robert Carstarphen on July 10, 2012.
- Brayon Green, M/29, of Camden, for the August 27, 2012 fatal shooting of Jonathan Ocasio at the corner of Broadway and Viola Street in Camden.
- Michael Winters, M/38, and Andrew Alford, M/40, both of Camden, for the November 2, 2012, fatal beating of Gregory Holder. Holder, a 45-year-old Cherry Hill man, was beaten and robbed near the intersection of Broadway and Berkley Street in Camden and lingered in the hospital for a week before succumbing to his injuries.
All persons charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
