Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson and Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo reported a man believed to be responsible for two Camden homicides has been arrested.
Elliot P. Nock, M/31, of Camden, taken into custody early Wednesday morning at an apartment in Long Branch, Monmouth County, by members of the Camden Division and Newark Division of the U.S. Marshals New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force.
Nock is charged with two counts of Murder for two separate November 10th homicides.
Nock is accused of fatally shooting Nelson Jackson, M/37, of Camden, on the 800 block of Haddon Avenue in Camden around 6 p.m. November 10. About two hours later, Nock allegedly shot and killed Daniel Damon, M/21, of Camden, on the 700 block of Morgan Boulevard in Camden.
“With the recent spate of gun violence, the highest priority of Camden County law enforcement and its partners was to stem the violence and bring those responsible to justice as quickly as possible,” Chief Thomson said. “The message is clear to those who decide to pull the trigger of a gun on our streets, you will feel the full weight of law enforcement and we will not rest until you are in custody.”
Nock, who also goes by Eliot Knock, will be arraigned Thursday at 1:30 p.m. before Superior Court Judge Irvin J. Snyder in courtroom 45.
All persons charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
