Camden, N.J. – Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman inside a home on the 2900 block of Congress Rd., according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Camden County Police Chief Joseph Wysocki.

Police responded to the home around 12:30 p.m. on July 5 for a report of a woman not breathing. When they arrived, they found Lateemah Leavy, 37,  of Camden, dead from a gunshot wound in an upstairs bedroom.

Detectives continue to investigate the events that led up to Leavy’s death.
