Michael McIntyre, 61, of Collingswood, was charged with Possession of Child Pornography according to Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Collingswood Police Chief Kevin Carey.
Detectives from the High-Tech Crimes Unit (HTCU) of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office executed a search warrant today, July 6, 2018, for his residence on the 300 block of Richey Avenue in Collingswood. An onsite preview of digital media devices found in the home resulted in McIntyre being charged.
Detectives, with the aid of an FBI electronics detection dog, located several digital devices in the residence which were seized from the home and sent to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office’s HTCU Forensic lab to be analyzed.
Michael McIntyre, a self-employed handyman, was arrested at his residence without incident. He was processed at the Collingswood Police Department and was later released.
Members of Homeland Security Investigations – Cherry Hill Office, the Camden County Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team (SERT), and the Collingswood Police Department assisted the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office HTCU Detectives on this case.
The investigation is ongoing.
All persons charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
