Camden, N.J.- Today is NATIONAL INTERN DAY and the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office is recognizing the office’s 2022 Legal and Investigative/College Interns!
The Legal Internship Program is designed to maximize law students’ involvement with the criminal justice system in Camden County.
Our office affords the ideal learning environment, characterized by teamwork and collegiality in the pursuit of justice. Legal interns will find dedicated, supportive, and knowledgeable supervisors to make their experience both valuable and enjoyable. The program offers substantial opportunities for court observation, court appearances, and interaction with judges, attorneys, and law enforcement.
Students are encouraged to apply for our internship through On-Campus Interviews (OCI,) if possible. The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office participates in OCI during August for Rising 2Ls and during February for 1Ls, including, but not limited to the following universities and colleges: Rutgers University-Camden, Drexel University, Widener University-Delaware Law, Temple University, Villanova University, and the University of Pennsylvania. Law students who are interested in legal internships and do not attend one of the listed law schools or are applying outside of the OCI periods should email a cover letter and resume to legalinternship@ccprosecutor.org.
Our College Internship Program is designed to offer opportunities in the following disciplines:
Investigative Interns are assigned to a unit within the office and will have an opportunity to observe and participate in the day-to-day operations of the office by learning from the legal, investigative and support staff. An intern’s duties may involve assisting with case files and performing administrative tasks. This program is designed for someone interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement or criminal justice.
When possible, interns will be invited to broaden their experience by attending field trips relative to their program.
Students who are interested in investigative internships should email a cover letter and resume to investigativeinternship@ccprosecutor.org.
