Cruz began her career as an Evergreen Family Success Center Volunteer and Community Partnership Coordinator at the Hispanic Family Center of Southern New Jersey in 2015. She was promoted to the Evolution Family Success Center Site Manager in 2016.

In 2018, Cruz began working at Camden County College’s Camden campus. Throughout her career, Cruz has worked on building relationships between the community, community-based organizations, and the business she represents.

“Our relationship with the community is of the utmost importance to the CCPO. We are committed to working hard to support those we serve and to build a reputation of respect and trustworthiness. We received dozens of resumes from people interested in this CEC position,” said Mayer. “This role called for someone who has a strong sense of community and commitment to helping CCPO strengthen its bond with the residents of the county through programs like listening sessions, assistance drives, outreach initiatives, and educational programs. We chose Nancy because her experience working within diverse groups and her innovative ideas on how to connect with people really made her stand out as someone who will hit the ground running in all those areas. I’m sure we will now use her skills in unique ways as a member of our office to show our residents that CCPO prioritizes its commitment to the community.”

Cruz started the position on Dec. 7.
