Camden, N.J. – In recognition of National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office would like to highlight the ever growing problem of Human Trafficking in our communities.
Human Trafficking, whether sex trafficking or labor trafficking, is taking place throughout Camden County, both in the City of Camden and in the suburbs. Often it is the most vulnerable of our citizens that are preyed upon by traffickers who seek to profit, financially and otherwise, by exploiting others.
The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office works hand in hand with local police departments, as well as the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, to investigate possible incidents of Human Trafficking, locate and rescue victims, and prosecute traffickers to the fullest extent of the law.
If you believe you know someone who may be a victim of Human Trafficking or believe that Human Trafficking is taking place in your community, you can make a report to your local police department or to the New Jersey Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-855-END-NJHT (855-363-6548). You may also make a report to the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888 or text BE FREE (233733).
Working together we can put an end to Human Trafficking, once and for all.
