Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson reported two homicides in the city overnight.

The first was reported shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesday on the 500 block of Erie Street in Camden. The victim, Faird George, M/24, of Camden, was taken to Cooper Hospital by a relative and he died there of multiple gunshot wounds.

The second victim was reported at 1:14 a.m. Thursday on the 1100 block of Sheridan Street in Camden. Responding law enforcement found the victim, James Ball, M/33, of Haddon Heights, dead in the street with a gunshot wound to the head.

In addition to the two homicides, there was a nonfatal shooting in Camden overnight as well. At midnight investigators responded to a report of a man shot at 9th and Florence streets. The victim, a 17-year-old Camden resident, was found shot once. The victim is being treated at Cooper Hospital.
