Camden, N.J. – Detectives are investigating an overnight homicide in Camden, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.

Police were called to the intersection of 6th St. and Viola St. around 2:30 a.m. for a report of a shooting. When they arrived, they located a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to an area hospital where he later died from his injuries. He has been identified as Mahlon Kellum, 28, of Camden.

The shooting remains under investigation and detectives are working to determine who is responsible.
