Camden, N.J. – A Camden man has been arrested and charged in connection to the fatal shooting of two men inside a motorcycle clubhouse in September, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Camden County Police Chief Joseph Wysocki.
Loring Lindsey, 40, of Camden, was located inside a home on the 1900 block of Pierce St. in Camden on Nov. 20.
Lindsey is charged with two counts of first-degree Murder, one count of second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, one count of second-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, and one count of second-degree Certain Persons Not to Possess a Weapon.
Police responded to the Wheels of Soul Clubhouse on the 800 block of Princess Ave. on Sept. 20 to a report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found Jermaine Wilkes, 38, and Jamill Jenkins, 32, both of Philadelphia, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Wilkes was pronounced dead at the scene and Jenkins died at an area hospital later the same day.
Through the investigation, detectives spoke to witnesses who were inside during the shooting and identified Lindsey as the shooter.
He was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force – Camden Division. Lindsey was transported to the Camden County Correctional Facility and is awaiting a detention hearing.
All persons charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
