CAMDEN MAN ARRAIGNED IN FATAL SHOOTING – 5/6/16
Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson reported a Camden man has been arraigned in the fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday (5/3/16) in the city.
Superior Court Judge Edward J. McBride ordered Allen Reed, 41, held on $1,500,000 full cash bail Friday afternoon in the death of 43-year-old Edwin Davis of Camden.
According to a probable cause statement issued by assistant prosecutor Lauren Pratter, Reed is accused of fatally shooting Davis on the 2500 block of Morgan Boulevard in Camden.
Camden County Police responded to the area at approximately 7:22 a.m. in reference to a report of a gunshot wound victim. Officers located the victim lying on the ground. He was pronounced deceased at the scene at approximately 7:32 a.m.
All persons charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
