Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk reported a Camden man charged with a 2012 killing is being held on $2 million cash bail after being arraigned Friday.
Brayon Green, M/28, of the 1700 block of S. 4th Street in Camden, was arraigned Friday on a count of Murder for the August 27, 2012 fatal shooting of Jonathan Ocasio. Superior Court Judge Thomas Brown ordered Green held on $1.5 million cash bail. Green was already in custody after being arrested September 1, 2012, on an unrelated gun possession charge. Green was already being held at the Camden County Jail on $500,000 cash bail for that offense, bringing his bail total to $2 million.
It is alleged Green shot Ocasio about 11 p.m. at the corner of Broadway and Viola Street in Camden. Ocasio died of his injuries at Cooper Hospital in Camden a few hours later.
All persons charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
