Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk reported a Camden juvenile pleaded guilty Thursday to the 2012 killing of a Riverside man.
Hasan Dallas, M/17, pleaded guilty Thursday to Aggravated Manslaughter Thursday after being waived from juvenile court to adult court. Dallas was 15 at the time of the killing. He is expected to be sentenced to 19 years incarceration in a New Jersey state prison and must serve 85 percent of that sentence before he is eligible for parole.
Dallas admitted to shooting Michael Haller, M/40, on the 600 block of Elm Street in Camden on October 12, 2012. Dallas stated in court Thursday he approached Haller while the victim was riding his bicycle on Vine Street and walked with him to the site of the shooting. Dallas then went into a nearby home to retrieve a gun and then came back outside to rob Haller. He then shot Haller. He did not obtain any cash from Haller.
Sentencing is scheduled for April 11 before Superior Court Judge Gwendolyn Blue.
