Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson reported a death in the city that was belatedly ruled a homicide.

Margo Muse, F/41, of Camden, died July 27, while being treated at Cooper Hospital in Camden. There was evidence of head trauma found in an autopsy on August 2, but her death was left pending until friends notified the police department that Muse was a recent victim of an assault. Investigators confirmed the assault.

Muse was struck in the head about 10 p.m. on July 24 in the area of Mount Ephraim Avenue and Sheridan Street. The next day she complained of dizziness and labored breathing and went to Cooper Hospital.

The case is being investigated by Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Investigator Lance Saunders at (856) 225-8400 and Camden County Police Detective William Frampton at (856) 757-7420.
