Camden, N.J.- Welcome to the team! The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office has hired a new detective who was sworn-in to his position on Monday, June 27, 2022, announced Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay.

Detective John J. Nero II was sworn-in by Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay, before CCPO Chief of Detectives Bob Ferris, Chief of Staff Michael Mangold, family and friends. Detective Nero is assigned to the Grand Jury Unit.

Detective Nero previously served as a police officer at Woodbury Heights Police Department and Penns Grove Police Department. He is a 2015 graduate of Rowan University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education Specialization, Health and Physical Education.
