Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk reported a man charged with killing another man with a bow and arrow has been indicted.

Timothy Canfield, M/26, of the first block of North Brill Avenue in Berlin Borough, was indicted April 23, 2014, on counts of Murder, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose and three counts of Hindering Apprehension. The indictment was made public today.

It is alleged that Kereti Paulsen, M/25, of Cape May got into a physical altercation with another person the night of January 28, 2013 outside the Brill Avenue home. That argument broke up and all but Paulsen went back into the house, according to witness statements. After the fight ended Canfield, who was not outside during the altercation, went outside carrying a compound bow and a quiver of arrows. Canfield is charged with shooting Paulsen in the stomach with one of the arrows fired from his bow.

All persons charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
