Camden County Prosecutor Warren Faulk and Camden Police Chief Scott Thomson are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who attacked a DRPA officer earlier this month.

The DRPA officer was in his parked patrol vehicle on Ferry Avenue on August 17 when he was approached by an unidentified man who punched him in the face. The assailant may have had something held in his hand which increased the severity of the injuries. The officer suffered contusions and abrasions as well as damage to his right eye.

The attacker was described as a Hispanic man standing five feet, seven inches to five feet, nine inches tall, with a slim build and close cropped, receding dark hair. A link to a video of the attacker is included below.

Anyone with information as to the identity of the person responsible for this assault should contact Detective Gerald Torres of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit at (856) 225-8617 or (856) 580-2046.

Information may also be emailed to ccpotips@ccprosecutor.org.
