Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson reported the arrest of a Bellmawr man in connection with a Camden homicide this summer.
Delron Freeman, M/30, of the 400 block of Browning Road in Bellmawr, was charged Friday with Manslaughter in the July 31, 2013, killing of Emmanuel Rivera. According to the State’s probable cause statement, Rivera, M/25, of Philadelphia, was in an altercation with Freeman about 9 p.m. near the intersection of Mount Ephraim Avenue and Thurman Street in Camden and was shot multiple times.
Rivera died at Cooper Hospital in Camden at 11:30 p.m.
An arraignment is scheduled for Freeman at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 23. It will be held in courtroom 36 of Superior Court of Camden County before Superior Court Judge McBride.
All persons charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
