The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office oversees and coordinates enforcement of New Jersey’s criminal laws in the County of Camden. While the office’s budget is provided by the county commissioners, the Prosecutor is appointed by the Governor and answers to the state Attorney General. The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office is the second busiest in the state, receiving from the county’s 37 municipalities approximately 10,500 cases annually, 5,500 of which are indicted.
